	TERMS OF SALE


	Commission of up to 15% + V.A.T. on sale proceeds. Minimum charge of £1.00 per item.


	PAYMENT


	Cheques will be posted within ten working days after the sale.


	TRANSPORT


	Transport and storage can be arranged through the Auctioneers.


	NOT SOLD LOTS


	To be removed immediately after the auction on the same day. At the auctioneers’ discretion those not removed will either be sold at the next auction without reserve or disposed of at the vendor’s expense.


	ELECTRICAL ITEMS		All items submitted to auction must be checked by a qualified Electrician, labeled and sold as tested or scrap. A qualified Electrician will test all electrical items entered prior to the auction and a charge of £2.00 plus V.A.T. will be made for each item deductible from the sale proceeds.


	UPHOLSTERED ITEMS


	Any secondhand household upholstered furniture or mattresses can only be sold at auction if manufactured prior to 1950. Items manufactured after 1988 bearing the appropriate label can also be sold.


	RESERVES


	Vendors may place reserves upon items entered and the Auctioneers can assist if required. Minimum reserve accepted £5.00.


	WARRANTY


	Morris·Bricknell will not guarantee the condition of any items unless a vendor specifically requests them to do so. If within ten days after the sale, Morris·Bricknell has received from the Purchaser of any lot, notice in writing that in his/her view the item is a deliberate forgery, and within seven days after such notification the buyer returns the lot to the Auctioneers in the same condition as at the time of the sale and by producing evidence (the burden of proof to be on the purchaser) satisfies the Auctioneers that in the light of an entry the lot is a deliberate forgery, then the sale of the lot will be rescinded and the purchase price of the same refunded.


	The sale is conducted under General Conditions of Sale, copies of which are available upon request.

		Items will only be accepted for inclusion which, in MORRIS·BRICKNELL’s opinion, appear to be of merchantable quality
